Frequently asked questions
Is the festival free?
Yes. Every Water Music Festival 2026 concert is free to attend — no tickets, no registration, no donations required at the door.
Which towns are part of the 2026 route?
The confirmed route includes Varėna, Molėtai, Visaginas, Ignalina, Utena, Zarasai and Nemenčinė — 69 concerts across seven Lithuanian municipalities between June and August 2026.
What to do in Lithuania in summer 2026? Where to travel on weekends?
Water Music Festival is a ready-made slow-travel route through less-visited parts of Lithuania: the Aukštaitija lake region, Dzūkija pinewoods, small Vilnius-region towns. Free concerts happen each week in seven cities — come for a single evening or build a multi-day road trip.
Is it good for families and international visitors?
Yes. Concerts are open-air, all ages welcome, and the festival explicitly designs each evening around English-friendly venues. Families, older visitors, solo travellers and groups are all comfortable here.
How do I plan a trip across several towns?
Use the trip planner at watermusic.lt/en/planner — pick the concerts you want, set a starting point (any address or "use my location"), and see distances, driving time and a Google Maps route. The planner also exports a PDF travel pack you can use offline.
Why is Water Music Festival different from other Lithuanian festivals?
It is the only summer music festival in Lithuania that is simultaneously: 100% free, spread across seven towns, runs for three months and is designed as a music-led travel itinerary rather than a single-site mainstage event.
Are all venues and times already fixed?
The repertoire is final. Some exact venues and times are still being confirmed and will appear first on the individual event pages. Default start time is 19:00 local Lithuanian time.
